And so it begins...

The last two weeks have been spent in the yard (Tyler more than me). It's like the dishes, never ending. We still have so much to do.

Yesterday we planted the garden. I made the hole and Damon dropped the seeds in. Terk watched.

Hopefully we will have beautiful growing plants, to post pictures of, in a few weeks. Fingers crossed!

One cloudy day in May we set out for the park

just to find that the sun was suddenly shining full force.

We decided to work with the shadows instead of wish them away. It was fun!

Ahh, the good old days!

Check out these sweet school lunch trays I found. I love them! They are so retro and they give me a sense of nostalgia. Think long lunch lines, little milk cartons, concern over which color of tray you might get. Back when the problem of the day might be whether or not you would be able to sneek past the lunch aid before she made you eat something you didn't like.

I love our fruit trees!

So pretty in the spring!
So shady in the summer!
So yummy in the fall!
Happy Mother's Day!

Highlight from last week

(besides the school lunch thing.)

Spending time with my crazy family!

Going to a sweet piano concert. (Shortly after it started we were distracted by smoke coming up from the floor. I wondered if we should bolt, but it turned out okay and most of the audience never even knew anything had happened.)

The Circus! Damon's favorite act was the motorcycle cage. It was impressive.

School Lunch!

We did lots of fun things this week, but my favorite was having lunch with Damon at school.
I love spending time helping out in his class and time in the lunch room was just as fun. It was his first time to have school lunch. I still feel like these kids are so little and still need so much, but watching them be so responsible is the cutest thing! In all honesty it makes me a little sad, but still I love it!
